Some Like It Hot – 3-disc 4K Limited Collector’s Edition

Altitude and Capelight Pictures are thrilled to bring Billy Wilder‘s classic crime comedy, Some Like it Hotto the UK for the first time in 4K on UHD Blu-ray. To celebrate the release a 3-disc Limited Collector’s Edition Mediabook will be available from 18th May

From writer and director Billy Wilder (Sunset Boulevard, The Apartment) Some Like it Hot stars Marilyn Monroe (All About Eve), Tony Curtis (Spartacus) and Jack Lemmon(The Apartment). In 1960, the film won the Oscar® for Best Costume Design and three Golden Globes for Best Motion Picture – Comedy, Best Actor – Musical/Comedy (Jack Lemmon) and Best Actress – Musical/Comedy (Marilyn Monroe).

In Some Like It Hot, two Chicago musicians, Joe and Jerry, witness the Valentine’s Day Massacre. Fearing the gangster Spats Colombo, the two flee. On their journey to another state, they meet Sugar Kane Kowalczyk and her all-female band and spontaneously join the group – with new identities. Disguised as women, they now perform as Josephine and Daphne. But it doesn’t take long for the next trouble to arise…

This parody of gangster films and melodramas is one of Billy Wilder’s best-known and most popular works, and is also Marilyn Monroe’s most successful film. In 2000, the American Film Institute named the film the funniest American film of all time.

The 3-disc Limited Collector’s Edition Mediabook contains the movie on UHD-Blu-ray (in 4K with Dolby Vision and HDR10) and Blu-ray, a Bonus-Blu-ray and a 24-page booklet.

Some Like it Hot will be releasing on Limited Collector’s Edition 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD from 18th May

2025 Letterboxd Stats!

I still love these stats so much and while this is probably my lowest number of films watched in a year I have still enjoyed not only logging them on Letterboxd but also attempting to still review them all on Let’s Go To The Movies. Although from looking at a few of the stats I think I actually didn’t bother even trying to review a couple of them. I do often check throughout the year at times to see which actors or directors that are possibly at the top of the list, although I don’t think I really had any obsessive watches in 2025, maybe I will change that for 2026!

I did eventually get to see Nolan’s Batman triology back to back at the cinema in one day and that was pretty epic I guess! Try to keep my first time watches higher than rewatches although at this point, given that I have probably watched nearly 2500 films it will be hard to keep that going. Even more so when you have favourites that you just adore watching!

What are your stats for 2025?

Did you have a film that you watched over and over again, or do you have a favourite like me (When Harry Met Sally) that is always your most watched in a year? An actor or director you actually found out you were obsessed with more than others this year?

2023 Letterboxd Stats!

This has become one of my favourite things to look at that the end of the year, actually who am I kidding it’s something I actually monitor throughout the year as well. I love stats for anything and everything because let’s face it you cannot argue against that type of information.

My film viewing in 2023 was lower than normal and that was mainly due to some personal struggles and battles, I think with that though I managed to watch mainly ok and good films, obviously the odd bad one will sneak in but I feel as though I made better choices.

This year we have a new themes cateogry thrown in as well! I did try to keep rewatches a lower and focus on first time viewings and I manged 67.5%.

What are your stats for 2023?

Which film did you watch the most, and who were your top stars?

2022 Letterboxd Stats!

Welcome to the third full year of my constant Letterboxd logging, which I totally love as let’s face it I love nothing more than stats. Being able to see how many times I have watched different films which incidentally isn’t as high as previous years for rewatches, although that does link with a goal I had for the year in trying to keep the percentage of first time watches high, which was 74.7%.

Then also the top actors and directors of the year is always interesting, especially when Letterboxd app/site does all the hard work for you!

Here we have my 2022 film stats!

If you don’t currently have Letterboxd, what are you waiting for? Get logging all those films, you can also write a little review.
