Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is the big screen adaptation of the hit musical that has enjoyed massive success in Sheffield and then in the West End (was due to tour the UK this year). I was lucky enough to see it early on in its West End run and caught the cinema playback as well.
It is a truly fantastic show with some amazing messages and great songs. In the film version the transformation of Richard E. Grant is something I have been really looking forward to seeing as Loco Chanelle! Newcomer Max Harwood is taking on the role of Jamie.

This was a live broadcast which combines the animated Disney film along with live performances of the songs.

I know that Musical Moments is usually a Monday feature but considering the current world pandemic due to the Coronavirus I felt as though we need more Musical Moments!
I’ve had this song in my head most of the week “For Now” as I think thats important to remember that this pandemic is only for now and we will see better days! Also if you want more Avenue Q I really recommend watching other songs from the show.
The best thing about seeing it on stage is that they often change the final “For Now” to someone who is currently relevant in the country your in!

A group of cats called Jellicles meet once a year at the ball to decide who will get the chance to have a new Jellicle life, competing to prove they are the most deserving cat.

After the poster was released yesterday it is followed by this truly wonderful trailer! Seriously this is going to be such an amazing musical film and I will constantly be talking and telling everyone about it because it really is outstanding from Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The teaser poster has dropped for the musical event of 2020 when In The Heights will be released in cinemas. It is a truly incredible musical which I have been lucky enough to see on stage twice.
The first time was on Broadway the night before it won the Tony Award for best new musical! Before Hamilton we had this truly incredible show and I am so please it has been made into a film, I like it better than Hamilton in all honesty! Lin-Manuel Miranda is a genius.

As we enter closer towards the 2020 awards season honouring the films from 2019, the nominations are coming thick and fast! The latest to be announced are right here the Golden Globes for 2020!

The second trailer for Cats has landed and I have to admit that although I am super excited for the film regardless of what everyone is saying about the film. I found the first trailer to be better than this one though. But I guess if you haven’t seen the stage show before then it gives you a little bit about the story (although it doesn’t really have much of a story).
