Wow, ten years already! I met Heath once – we were filming a show for E! and he and some of the “A Knight’s Tale” cast – Mark Addy, Shannyn Sossamon and Paul Bettany, played pool with our Host. He was a bit standoffish at the time, but I think there were some things going on publicly for him and he was being forced to do a bunch of press for the film – still, completely professional, and for me, he really took a gamble with “Brokeback Mountain” – so many Actors wouldn’t take a role like that so bravo to him

I watched the documentary about him a couple of days ago and it’s funny that you’ve said that about A Knight’s Tale as that was mentioned and he couldn’t cope with suddenly being thrown into the limelight and having his face on all of the posters, so it sounded like he really struggled with the publicity of that film!

Yes indeed…and he had demons for sure as well…such a shame because he had a commanding presence on screen didn’t he?

The TV series Roar was the first time I watched Heath Ledger, so it will always have a special place in my heart. I especially loved the slo-mo moment when Ledger’s character got hit with an arrow (in Banshee. episode 4). I also liked The Four Feathers even though it wasn’t considered a success. There are still some of the later films I need to see.

I’ve never heard of Roar, I need to catch up with a few of his films as well.

I can’t believe it has been ten years. That has flown. I couldn’t pretend to not admit The Joker is my favourite performance from him. I know it’s an obvious one. He’s just majestic in that film. But I also thought he was wonderful in Brokeback Mountain and never tire of seeing him in 10 Things I Hate About You and A Knight’s Tale.

10 years already? I still remember reading about his death when it showed up on Yahoo News (back when Yahoo News was popular, lol)
