When TSA agent Ethan Kopek eventually gets a break on Christmas Eve to do a job with more responsibility being blackmailed by a mystery traveller was not on his agenda.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ethan and his girlfriend Nora Parisi seem to have everything going well within the relationship and she has not long found out that she is pregant, although we find out quite quickly that he doesn’t really seem to have much of a plan for his life in terms of career. It seems as though the majority of his life decisions have revolved around her.
This news of a baby then pushes him to asking for a chance from his boss Phil, although given he was late and is usually late wasn’t really the best time to ask. But his best friend has his back and he gets put on the baggage screening on security. However, little did he realise that this was the worst day to do that. A plan was already well and truly in motion to get a bag cleared through security with some rather damaging items inside.
Before I started watching this and had seen the trailer, I thought it looked as though it was going to be a decent thriller which it is ok but to then see it being compared to Die Hard was actually quite hilarious really. The bold statements of best Christmas film of the year as well is laughable, I actually forgot it was even supposed to be Christmas Eve.
Taron Egerton is taking on varied roles and this was a nice little change in terms of the genre of the film. Jason Bateman as a bad guy is something I can really get on board with, even though it was probably just ok overall.
Don’t let big promises around this film get your hopes up, it’s a perfectly ok and average film.
We warmed to it a bit more, especially because Bateman’s “bad guy” had a bit of sly wit like Alan Richman in “Die Hard!”
