British acting legend has sadly passed away at the age of 77. He was well known for his many film roles including The Elephant Man, 1984, Alien, V for Vendetta and featuring in the Harry Potter series. He also was a well respected actor on stage and the small screen with many roles in TV series.
Rest in Peace Sir John Hurt
Bon Voyage, John.

His voice will be the thing I remember most. It was so distinctive, and it made his roles more memorable.

Such a brilliant actor, with so many memorable roles to his name. Always seemed like a great guy, too. Plus that voice…! One of the best ever, I reckon.

I really liked him in “V for Vendetta”. He seemed so ruthless. A very memorable performance – and a very different role from that in “Melacholia”. How did that man managed to do such distinctive roles and do so so brilliantly?

Very impressive wasn’t he! I thought his role in V for Vendetta was so interesting considering the role he had in 1984!

This one is a bit hard to deal with. I loved him in The Elephant Man and The Black Cauldron. His appearance in Jackie was also a pleasant surprise.
