Over the space of a few days we got two posters and a trailer for the 9th film from Quentin Tarantino, Once Upon a Time In Hollywood. Like his other films I guess a trailer cannot really show much of the film due to the violence and language! I am looking forward to this though as who doesn’t love DiCaprio? Even if Margot Robbie is in the film . . .

What do you make of this first trailer?
I personally think the posters are very poor! Surely we expect more from them?

Will you be heading to the cinema to see this film?
Definitely seeing this in theatres! QT doesn’t need any posters to sell his movies. But I do agree they were pretty dull, especially when compared to how good the ones for his previous movies were (especially Inglourious Basterds!).

Yeah I think he is going to start hitting problems though as it seems he peaked early in terms of quality with his films.

There was smooch media coverage of the filming of the movie on Hollywood Boulevard, because they returned it to a late 60’s look – but none of that is in the poster, and barely in the trailer…and since it talks about Hollywood at the time of the Manson murders, it seems like they are trying to avoid that at all costs, which makes both the trailer and poster a bit lifeless…

Auto correct again! I was trying to write “SO MUCH MEDIA COVERAGE” but the way the media fell all over themselves, it could have been a big “smooch”

I know it doesn’t really offer very much does it. I guess QT doesn’t think he needs to promote and people will just see his films!

The poster and the trailer tell us nothing, which isn’t a bad thing, but bland isn’t going to put bums on theater seats. I suspect the hard(er) core reveals will come closer to the movie’s release.

Totally! I hope QT doesn’t throw a strop like with The Hateful Eight as it wasn’t released at Cineworld.
